BREAKING!!! Pandemonium In Kano As Police Shot Dead Unarmed Igbo Trader.

Tension is thick in the air in Kano following the gruesome murder of Tochukwu A. Iro, a patent medicine dealer, who was shot by two men
identified as police officers from Kano State Police Command attached to the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS). Igbo youths and traders are protesting the dastardly act. Though the police has called for calm, traders and Igbos in Kano are demanding for justice. Tochukwu (40), married with two children, hailed from Orumba South Local Government Area of Anambra State.
Those who knew him described him as a peace-loving man. Tochukwu was shot at close-range on Wednesday at 12 noon, but died Thursday afternoon after a failed operation at the Murtala Muhammad Specialist Hospital. His remains have been deposited in the morgue. According to an eyewitness account, “On Wednesday afternoon, at about 12 noon, we saw Tochukwu walking along the road; as he tried to negotiate Illaro Road, two armed policemen walked up to him.
They came with a tinted glass car. They stopped the car close to First Baptist Church, crossed the road and ordered Tochukwu to stop. “When he stopped, there was a mild argument between him and the two armed men; and one of them who was wearing a Kaftan brought a branded police rifle and shot him. When traders around started shouting, the same man shot into the air and bundled the victim into a waiting tricycle, while his second crossed the road, dashed into the car and zoomed off.”

Briefing the Press on Thursday, Chairman of the Igbo Traders Association (ITA), Chief Emmanuel C. Amadi also demanded justice. According to him, “On that Wednesday, I was attending a market board meeting with the General Manager of Abubakar Rimi Market, security chiefs and other stakeholders when I received a call that one of our members was shot by the police along France Road.
“I immediately told the market management and they asked me to get more details over the incident. We made arrangements to ensure that he was taken to hospital for treatment. Around 9pm on that Wednesday, I put a call across to Murtala Muhammad Hospital and I was told that he was responding to treatment.

“On Thursday morning, I called the hospital and was told that he was taken to the theatre for operation; but it was so sad that this afternoon (Thursday), we got the news that he did not survive the gunshot. As I am speaking to you now, Tochukwu is dead.
“I have his file here and I can attest to the fact that he was a peace-loving man. We have never known him as a criminal and that is why we wondered why such an innocent man could be killed in such a gruesome manner. Since the news of his death, we have not rested.
“The youths were here in our office this afternoon (Friday, July 29th) in protest over the killing of their brother. They are demanding for justice. On our own, we have pleaded with them not to take laws into their hands; and all we are saying is that the killers of Tochukwu must be made to face justice,” he stated.
Meanwhile, the Kano State Police Command has reacted to the incident in a statement signed by its spokesman, DSP Magaji Musa Majia. According to the Police statement: “The Kano State Police Command wishes to inform the public that on 27th July, 2016 at about 1200hrs a team of operatives attached to Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), based on tipoff along France Road, stopped one Oguchukwu Augustine ‘m’ of Odutola Street Sabon Gari but he refused to stop.
“He was subsequently pursued and while trying to escape, he was shot at the hipbone and immediately rushed to Murtala Specialist Hospital where he gave up the ghost while receiving treatment.
“The Commissioner of Police Kano State, Alhaji Rabiu Yusuf, has directed the immediate arrest and detention of the team leader and his men for interrogation at the State CIID Kano. “He also summoned the Elders of Igbo Community in Kano where he sympathises with them and assured that Justice will be done.
“The Commissioner of Police also stated that his primary assignment is to protect life and property and will not condone any police personnel who risks the life of innocent citizens. “The outcome of the investigation will be made public as soon as investigation is completed before further action taken.”

the ghost bursters cartoon, recreated as a hilarious cool cinema movie.. download

Do you remember the only scary cartoon we would watch as kids and enjoy older than scooby doo, lets see how older you are, if you remember the movie ghost bursters

Ghostbusters is a 2016 American supernatural comedy film directed by Paul Feig and written by Feig and Katie Dippold. The third feature film in the Ghostbusters series, it stars Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon and Leslie Jones as four women who start a ghost-catching business in New York City.

A third Ghostbusters film had been in various stages of development following the release of Ghostbusters II in 1989. As a result of original cast member Bill Murray's refusal to commit to the project and the death of fellow cast member Harold Ramis in 2014, Sony decided to reboot the series with much of the original film's cast in cameo roles.

PHOTOS: 19yrs Old Girl Having An Affair With President Zuma, Shares Their Loved Up Photos

PHOTOS: 19yrs Old Girl Having An Affair With President Zuma, Shares Their Loved Up Photos

I don't know if I should say this is just one of those things. President Jacob Zuma of  South Africa already has enough wives, so I wonder what this small girl is doing with him.

She said he's a Blesser and that she's in love with him. Abeg I no fit laugh oh! Some women go soon attack President Zuma.

The 19-year-old girl, whose name was given as Lindokuhle Dlamini, shared these pics of herself and the old man, President Zuma, all loved up on social media and wrote:

“He is not just a blesser, we are in love and I am grateful for all that he has done for me, much love. Xo xo.”
People say the word “Blesser” is commonly used, like Sugar Daddy here, to describe an older man who gives a lady money or gifts while having s*x with her.

President Zuma is a polygamist but the South African Presidential spokesperson said they would look into how the pictures leaked. The girl's account has been deleted.
What are they looking into? Did President Zuma deny his 'girl'? Lol!

REVEALED! How Saraki, Ekweremadu Were Caught In The Act

When you hear some senators loyal to Bukola Saraki shouting, it is because they know the heat coming.

An exclusive report by PT indicated that the Federal Government will rely on the testimony of 15 witnesses, among them National Assembly bureaucrats, at the trial of Bukola Saraki, Ike

Ekweremadu and other alleged conspirators over the ongoing case of forgery of Senate rules. Saraki and Ekweremadu, alongside the former Clerk to the National Assembly, Salisu Maikasuwa and his deputy, Benedict Efeturi, are accused of forging the Senate Standing Rules with which the upper chamber’s presiding officers were elected last year.

Prosecution’s case against Saraki and his alleged conspirators According to court documents,
“it is the prosecution’s case against the defendants that sometimes about the 9th day of June, 2015, the defendants conspired among themselves to forge and indeed actually forged the Senate Standing Order 2011 (as amended) and caused the said forged document to be circulated among elected senators for use during the inauguration of the 8thSenate of the National Assembly of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.”

The document – prosecution’s case summary – was signed by a Principal State Counsel, D.E Kaswe on behalf of the Minister of Justice and Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami, and is among documents filed before the Abuja High Court. “It is the forged document that was used in the inauguration of the 8th National Assembly which paved the way for the election that ushered in the present leadership of the Senate,” added the document.
Lawyers in the case told PT that the government planned to prove its case by tendering the 2011 and 2015 rules before the court before then proceeding to call 14 witnesses whose statements had been filed. Below are the fourteen witnesses to be called and what they will tell the court:

    1. Suleiman Hukunyi – He is the secretary of the Unity Forum, the Senate caucus consisting of All Progressives Congress lawmakers who opposed the election of Mr. Saraki, preferring Ahmed Lawan instead. Days after the election of Messrs Saraki and Ekweremadu as the Senate presiding officers, he petitioned the Inspector General of Police, demanding criminal investigation into the allegation of forgery of Senate Rules.
The main thrust of the petition which would later land Mr. Saraki and his alleged conspirators in trouble was that the Standing Rules used for 2015 inauguration “purports to allow for secret instead of the open ballot system that has been prevalent in all Senate elections as permitted by the extant rules.” The infraction, he told the Police, arose from the “fraudulent production of rules without an approved consideration by the 7th Senate.” Mr. Hukunyi, according prosecution’s documents, including proof of evidence filed before the court, will testify how the “forged” Rules were distributed to the Senators and also “tender some exhibits.”

    2. Ita Enang – Now presidential senior assistant on Senate matters, he was in the 7thSenate, representing Akwa Ibom North, and serving as the Chairman of the Rules and Business. In January, he was accused of complicity in the “missing” 2016 budget during the budget impasse. Specifically, he was accused of “doctoring” the budget proposal which had earlier been presented by President Muhammadu Buhari.
Contacted in the wake of the allegation by PREMIUM TIMES, he said he was between “my two bosses,” preferring not to refute or admit the charge. In the forgery suit brought against the Senate leaders, he “will tell the court the position of the Senate Standing Order 2011 vis a vis purported Standing Order 2015.” Further, the Federal Government will rely on him to testify that the “proposal for the amendment of the 2011 Senate Standing Order was neither considered nor adopted.”

    3. Solomon Ewuga – He was a member of the 7th Senate. He did not return to the 8th Senate, having pursued a failed governorship ambition in Nasarawa State. He is expected to “tell the court what he knows of the Senate Standing Order 2011” and “shall testify that the 7th Senate did not amend the 2011 Senate Standing Order.

    4. Ogozy Nma – A National Assembly bureaucrat who is the Secretary Committee on Rules and Business. The Rules and Business Committee is regarded as the “life wire” of the legislature as it is responsible for scheduling of legislative businesses, including amendment of rules.
By virtue of Mr. Nma’s schedules, the Federal Government wants him to tell the court “what he knows of the forged Senate Standing Order.” He might be required to tender some exhibits in court.

    5. Daniel Adem – He is the Secretary of the Directorate of Legal Services of the National Assembly. He will also tell the court what he knows of the Senate Standing Order.

    6. Dan’Azumi Doma – He led the investigation of the alleged conspiracy and forgery as the Deputy Inspector General of Police in charge of CIID. He will tell the court how the case was investigated and the outcome of the investigation. In his report, he had said the Senate Rules were actually altered with valid procedures stipulated by the extant rules that are the 2011 Rules. He will most likely tender the police investigative report before the court.

    7. Ahmed Lawan – He was supported by the APC leadership to contest the Senate leadership position against Mr. Saraki. He was defeated. And Mr. Saraki refused to appoint him Senate Leader as demanded by the leadership of the ruling APC. In his statement to the police, he said,
“The procedures for election into the two presiding offices are clearly stipulated in Order 2 (2(i) of the Senate Standing Rules 2011. That contrary to the provision of the above order, the Clerk to the National Assembly introduced and used order 3(3) e (ii) of the purported 2015 Standing Order”.
He will therefore inform the court “that the Senate Standing Order 2011 was never amended”.

    8. Abdullahi Gumel – A serving Senator who supported Mr. Lawan’s ambition as member of the Unity Forum, will inform the court that he was given the 2011 Rules during the induction course of the 8th Assembly, yet a “forged” 2015 Rules was used for the inauguration of the 8thAssembly days after the induction course.

    9. Kabiru Marafa – The Zamfara Central Senator is Mr. Saraki’s most outspoken and harshest critic in the Senate. On different occasions, he asked Mr. Saraki to resign to
“save the image of the Senate”
or that his colleagues should impeach him (Mr. Saraki) in view of the Senate President’s corruption trial at the Code of Conduct Tribunal. The Federal Government wants him to inform the court that the 2011 Rules were never amended to prove that the 2015 Rules were altered “without procedure.”

    10. Gbenga Ashafa – The Lagos Senator will inform the 7th Senate did not amend the Rules, thereby stating that 2015 Rules used for election of Messrs Saraki and Ekweremadu was not valid, and as such the election was null and void.

    11. Ajayi Boroffice – The Ondo Senator known as loyalist of former Lagos Governor Bola Tinubu will also inform the court that Senate Standing Order 2011 was never amended.

    12. Abu Ibrahim – He was the Deputy Minority Whip in the 7th Senate. He will also inform the court the document was not amended. It should be noted that he was part of the leadership of the 7thSenate which, according to Mr. Efeturi, passed the order to “amend” the Senate Rules.

    13. David Igbodo – He is an Assistant Commissioner of Police who was part of the investigation. He will also inform the court how the case was investigated and the outcome of the investigation.

    14. Babafemi Ojudu – He served in the 7th Senate, representing Ekiti Central. He will inform the court that the 7th Senate, of which he was member, did not amend the 2011 Rules.

“I wonder if our tears, pains and hopelessness affect you in anyway” – Read Charly Boy’s Passionate Letter to President Buhari

musician CharlyBoy has written an open letter to the President of Nigeria, Muhammadu Buhari, in the wake of all the recent difficulties in the country.
See his passionate letter below.
Mr. President Sir,
Once again I am compelled to voice out my bewilderment at the stumbling and wobbly kind of governance we have had since you came onboard.
I wonder what you are doing right now.
I wonder if our tears, pains and hopelessness affect you in anyway.
I wonder if you are the one in charge or some other people.
You have tasted leadership before and you know what it entails. I understand that. However, then and now are two different scenarios, two separate dispensations.
We know you.
We know about your war against indiscipline.
We hear about your no-nonsense stand against corruption.
We have read so much about our stolen monies which you have managed to recover. Well done sha.
Meanwhile, the nagging questions that leave me sleepless most nights remain unanswered…
How much money have you collected from the looters so far?
To what use have the monies been put?
From where I stand, it seems you’re the only one in your cabinet fighting corruption while your praise singers are busy washing you all over town trying to convince us that you’re a good man.
I, CharlyBoy, know that you are a “good” man: someone who loves the country, a patriot with a high sense of morals perhaps. But na that one we go chop? Is that all that is needed to fix the rot of over 40yrs.?
I don’t think so!
To a great degree, Nigeria has become a terribly dysfunctional society.
I didn’t vote in the last elections because I just tire with the kalokalo leadership so far. Even when a lot of people wanted change, I wondered what manner of change could come when in our history we never really struggled for anything.
Before you sat on that chair, I proclaimed that Nigeria would only survive under a benevolent dictator; one with lots of selfless love for the country and is willing to lay down his life, one who would deal mercilessly with all those who have ruined our land.
A lot of people thought I was talking about you.
From Boko Haram to Niger Delta Avengers. MASSOB, OPC, to Biafran Avengers, name it, the list is endless.
Mr President Sir, you ought to, as a matter of urgency, review your approach to handling issues because, sometimes diplomacy works better. Excessive force will only breed more discontentment. Take it from me.
Your mark of fair play must cut across board, you must not leave room for us to second-guess your intentions biko, and you must at all times convey clarity of purpose.
It is not possible (or I should say it is unbelievable) that you can’t see that we are swimming in the river of chaos.
It is funny because, those who feel insulated and protected by the State will discover that they are mere sitting ducks!
Just because say boys dey vex!
Putting Nigeria together will take a lot more than childish, nonsensical propaganda.
It will take more than prayers, more than just being a good guy.

Being good is important but not as important as being a no-nonsense ass-kicker; person wey no send, because many things don scatter.
I don’t care if you’re trying to convert all of us to Islam, I don’t care if everyone in your cabinet is your in-law, brother, sister, tribesman, cook, steward or even your MaiGuard.
On behalf of all the frustrated youths in this country, all we need is a leader who can fix things, not the one that comes with excuses.
A leader who is not afraid to admit that he has no clue to certain matters but willing to learn spot on and hands on.
A leader who can’t be comfortable with praise singers.
A leader who is troubled by the cry of poverty-ridden Nigerians.
A leader who can raise our hope once again in our battered country.
A leader who can make us start believing in our Nigeria again.
Oga Presido, do sometin o, boys are vexing!

How I Got Signed To Olamide’s music Record Label’ – YBNL Princess Reveals

…..I thought it was a scam until I confirmed that it was indeed Olamide’s official Instagram account. I sent my number and we began talking. From the moment
Olamide sent me a direct message, I knew something was going to happen.

In April 2016, YBNL leader, Olamide signed the first ever female act to his label.
The signing came barely a week after his protege, Lil Kesh publicly parted ways with YBNL to set up his own YAGI Records.
With the signing, Temmie Ovwasa fondly called YBNL Princess began her journey to stardom.
In a recent interview with Punch, the Delta State born singer narrated how she was contacted by Olamide on social media.
In her words:-
‘I used to sing and record covers of different songs, which I post on Instagram. In August last year, I uploaded a particular video of a song and realised that Olamide had liked all my videos. People erroneously thought I tagged Olamide in the video but I have never believed in tagging celebrities to get recognition’.

She continued to say, ‘a few minutes later he sent me a direct message requesting for my phone number. At first, I thought it was a scam until I confirmed that it was indeed Olamide’s official Instagram account. I sent my number and we began talking. From the moment Olamide sent me a direct message, I knew something was going to happen; I am very intuitive. Getting signed on with YBNL Records is a blessing that gave me my big break’.
Asked if she’s in a relationship, Temmie says, ‘am in a relationship with my guitar for now because it is supportive of my career and an indelible part of it.
My dream man must be supportive of my music career and mature enough not to be threatened by my fame. He must also not see me as a competition and he must be grounded in God. I may date a musician if we both share similar values’.

HOW LIL KESH’S SONG, “EFEJOKU” MADE ME LOSE A JOB OFFER – JOB SEEK SHARE HIS STORY

According to this young man who wrote to Us, he lost a job offer because he was listening to LilKesh’s smash hit ‘Efejoku’.

 Read the hilarious story below:-

I had seen couple of people come up online to complain about unemployment. I took it so easily not until I graduated and finished my NYSC that I began feeling the heat of unemployment and job hunting fire. Being a serious unemployed in Nigeria Is frustrating and intimidating.
My first ever job I applied for my NYSC, after the application, with even my 2.1 grade I wasn’t even invited for any form of test or interview. Na so I begin apply oo and yet nothing positive showed forth. One that pained me was the one I and 4 of my friends applied for. four of my friends were called and I was left behind. That one pain me sote I began crying. I felt intimidated, that I wasn’t good enough. I felt dejected and down casted. I felt I wasn’t up to my peers standard. All that made me strong.

Late 2015, November precisely I applied for a job in Abuja in an Auditing firm. A friend of mine sent me the link to apply. After applying, I was waiting for a feedback till the end of December. Yet no call or email, or even flash came from them. Na so I just forget about them, filling 2015 has gone with it.

On the 5th of January 2016 I visited my friend of mine in Wuse. When I got there he was having a mini indoor party with his wife to be. They were playing “Efejoku” by Lil kesh. They were feeling the song. Immediately my phone rang. I checked the number calling and it wasn’t a number saved on my phone. I went to a corner that I could be able to speak audibly with the caller. I picked the call and it was a female voice. She said her name was Mabel and she was calling from the auditing firm I applied for the past year. Immediately I heard that, I immediately composed myself. But I was shocked the questions she started asking me.
At first I thought it was a joke or compliment but later, no be complement oo.
Below was how our conversation went:-
  • Mabel—- Good afternoon. My name is mabel, I believe am speaking with ********?
  • Me – Good afternoon .Yes you are.
  • Mabel—- Am from ******* Auditing firm. You applied for one of our vacant posts
  • Me ——- Yes I did.
the phone starts ringing
  • Mabel —— Ehmm, what kind of song is that ?
  • Me—- Song! Which song?
  • Mabel—The song at the background. Or are you not the one playing that song
  • Then I realized she was talking about the song “Efejoku” playing at my own end. I never knew she was hearing it because I was not close to the parlour where the song is being played. I was quit far from the speakers. I told her it’s my friend’s place.
  • Mabel —- Why do you people like all these kind of wordly songs?
   (ghaun ghaun!!!...)
Me no know wetin to answer her. I thought she was calling to tell me that I have made it and their company had recruited me. I no come know the one wey she dey talk about song.
  • Me—— *silence**
  • Mabel—- It seems this is the kind of song you like too, you and your friends?
  • Me —- Not at all ma, I …..
She cuts in
  • Mabel — Our company wants responsible and sound people. Not mad men.
  • Me— (I didn’t know what to tell her) Am in my friends place.
  • Mabel — Your friend’s place? You guys stay in a ghetto area because we don’t want employees to bring thugs and ghetto into our company.
  • Me— No ma aaa oooo. Am not in a ghetto.
Before I could finish she has cut the call. I was very pained and angry. My friend asked me to go to their office in Wuse the next day.
The next day I went to their office. I met with one of the staffs who asked me to wait for one Mr. James na so I begin wait till the Mr. James came. I explained what happened the previous day to him. He laughed and asked me to come back the next day. When I came back the next day, the Mr james directed me to one Mrs Dammy. I guessed she was the one that called the other day. But it was unfortunate that the Mrs Dammy was not around. I was asked to wait. Na so I wait reach 4pm, work close.
I came back the next day, security no come allow me enter. Few days ago I got a text from an unknown number which I believe it’s from the firm. The text read. “Sorry we can’t employ you. We don’t employ thugs in ******* firm.” The thing pain me again.

Break Those Boundaries! Here 7 Things You Need to Completely Disregard for Success

Ever wondered why we eat with forks and knives? Why forks go with the left hand, and knives with the right? Ever wondered who makes these random rules, why everyone lives by them, and why you almost-always predictably follow them?
Doing things different, just to stand out, is a foolish move. But on those rare occasions when we feel something deep in our gut,
it’s important to stand for it. Whether we stand alone or with a crowd, we should dare to ask “WHY?” so we can understand better why things should be done the way they are. Based on who raised us, we accept a lot of things as normal that other people may consider weird and unnecessary. We accept these things without experiencing the view from the other side and rarely stop to think that maybe, just maybe, we are wrong.
Most of us are Christians or Muslims because that’s who our parents are.
The concepts of conformity and authority are intriguing. It’s funny that we come into the world–fresh, unencumbered, geniuses–but we start to be filled with our parents’ opinions, dreams, values, experiences, expectations, that by the time we become teenagers, every ounce of originality has been stamped out.
Think about this: When was the last time you made a move that made sense to only you? When was the last time you stubbornly believed in an idea, even though no one else did? Paul Arden, the author, said, “You need to aim beyond what you are capable of. You need to develop a complete disregard for where your abilities end. If you think you’re unable to work for the best company in its sphere, make that your aim. If you think you’re unable to be on the cover of Time magazine, make it your business to be there. Make your vision of where you want to be a reality. Nothing is impossible.”
To succeed in business and in life, there are a lot of things we have to have a complete disregard for. Here is a list of 7 below:

You need a complete disregard for other people’s opinions, especially when unsolicited

Everyone always has something to say. Even people who have no clue what you’re going through or what it took you to get there. Friends, family, teachers, neighbors–will tell you how to live your life if you let them. Most times, it comes from a good place of wanting to help you succeed but no one but you knows how to live your life. If you can’t disregard their opinions on the most important decisions in your life. It would take you forever to learn to be happy or become who you want to be.

You need a complete disregard for other people’s success, it’s really not your business

With the rise of social media and accessible internet, we are the first generation to be truly connected at every moment. Whether we’re under the covers in bed preparing to sleep, or doing our business in the loo, we can talk to anyone anywhere in the world at the click of a button. There is so much information about friends, enemies, competitors in our hands at all times, that it takes superhuman strength not to get distracted and twisted with jealousy.

It’s a self-assured person who can filter through the noise, accomplishments, and shade thrown by others to focus on herself. Anyone can sit back and watch other people living their lives.

Oh look at Esther, she works for Google now, I wonder how she got the job. I’m a much better programmer.
Yes, you’re a better programmer, but what are you doing with YOUR skills?
Envy is a useful emotion because it shows you what you desire and aspire to be. Take note of what you envy, set it as your goal, and don’t stop till you get it.

You need a complete disregard for your problems, don’t let them stop you

Instead of thinking of problems as problems, think of them as hurdles you have to jump through to get to a new level. In a research-based groundbreaking talk “You and Your Research” by Dr Richard W. Hamming in 1986, Hamming revealed that we do not need ideal circumstances to become successful or produce great work. His theory is that “…people are often most productive when working conditions are bad.”
If this is true, then Nigeria should be the best place to work from. He insists that conditions we think would make us work better might be detrimental because they make us too comfortable that we can’t innovate. Lack and discomfort is not sexy, but as biography after biography of successful men will attest, you can still produce world-class work in absolute squalor. We actually need a little bit of problems around us to be able to think more creatively and find solutions that work.
Albert Einstein produced ground breaking scientific when working from his dingy shack in Berlin, but failed to publish a single significant paper during his twenty-year tenure in the beautiful IAS office in US

You need a complete disregard for failure, it doesn’t last forever

Everyone fails at some point in their lives. Everyone. It’s what you do afterwards that counts. Failure is just an experience in life that will pass, we shouldn’t give it so much power. Think back to the things you failed at in Secondary School, do you still care? Most likely not. Remember the things you failed at last year, last month, last week… Does it hurt like the day it happened? Not likely. Pain fades quickly. Regret, on the other hand–especially for things you didn’t do–that’s much harder to forget.

You need a complete disregard for your skills and limits, you’re a work-in-progress

Luckily for us, skills and talents are not fixed. No one is born a rockstar, we all have to hone our skills to become great. Having this mentality of growth is key for anyone who dreams to be bigger and better than they are currently. If a voice in your head says you cannot paint, by all means, paint and take painting classes, and that voice will be silenced.

Everyone faces impostor syndrome in the beginning of any career or skill acquisition. It’s important to remind yourself that you can and will learn and get better. Everyone is just as terrified and fakes it till they make it. The only way to become what you want to become is to start doing it. As the years pass, you’ll get better, more expert and your brand will grow.

You need complete disregard for what the majority is doing, everyone can be wrong

It’s a known fact that there is strength in numbers, United we stand, Divided we fall. But have you ever felt like you are moving in the midst of a crowd to a destination that you’re not sure of, but it’s okay anyways, because everyone can’t be wrong?
Most of us have not had an original thought since the day we got on Twitter or Facebook.
When we have questions or problems to solve, before attempting to use our brains to solve it, we are on Google, Twitter or Facebook, checking for what others think. This is not necessarily a bad thing.
If you check to see all sides of the story, and then think make a decision. But most of us just pick the first opinion we see, and stick with it. The problem-solving part of our brain is drying up from lack of use.
Remember that the loudest opinions are not always the right ones. The people who stand alone just might be correct. We should learn to disregard popular opinions and think for ourselves, especially when it’s on an important subject.
The next time you find yourself on the side of majority, it is time to pause and reflect.”– Mark Twain

You need a complete disregard for other people’s narratives about you

This is actually the most important to me. There are certain narratives that people are used to, certain stories that they use to stereotype and pigeonhole others.
For example: the African woman with a baby on her back who dutifully serves her husband, the beautiful girl in University who is also a runs girl, the young boy who drops out of school to pursue music and starts doing drugs, the writer with a tortured soul and a drinking problem.
These narratives are presumptuous and dangerous because they lead you to accept a life that might not be meant for you. Just because you’re Nigerian and a university drop-out doesn’t mean you’ll end up as a danfo driver. Just because you smoke pot, doesn’t mean you don’t have a bright future. Just because you’re a beautiful girl in a Nigerian university doesn’t mean you should become a runs girl.
This is a phenomenon called the Narrative Fallacy. Here’s a quote about it from a book called The Black Swan:
The narrative fallacy addresses our limited ability to look at sequences of facts without weaving an explanation into them, or, equivalently, forcing a logical link, an arrow of relationship upon them. Explanations bind facts together. They make them all the more easily remembered; they help them make more sense. Where this propensity can go wrong is when it increases our impression of understanding.” — Nassim Nicholas Taleb

We fall victim to this fallacy every time we try and read someone’s life like a story, with a moral lesson at the end. Bill Gates didn’t become successful because he dropped out of school. Those are 2 separate events in his life. Life is chaotic, not ordered like a movie series. It’s fine if your life doesn’t fit any narratives.
You can be an outlier–the African man who built a trillion dollar company by selling pure water on the streets. Anything is possible, and no narrative is true or false.
There you have it. My list of 7 things that have to be disregarded to attain true success. Have anything else you think we can and should disregard? Let me know in the comments!

Wizkid feat. Chris Brown, Trey Songz, & French Montana – ‘Shabba’

Summer anthem alert. Following his success with Drake’s “One Dance,” Nigerian superstar Wizkid keeps the momentum going with an infectious single of his own, “Shabba,” featuring a trifecta of star power—Chris Brown, Trey Songz, and French Montana. Over the bouncy dancehall-inspired beat, Wizkid pays homage to Shabba Ranks, while Breezy and Trigga cater to the ladies, and French brings it home with a lively verse.
